RS&W's Future Brings Major Change

In 2010, RS&W commissioned BCM Engineers to prepare a “Water and Wastewater Master Plan” that would define the Hideout’s major infrastructure needs for the next 40 years. The conclusions of this study, supported by multiple internal evaluations of our infrastructure over the past several years, are unequivocal. All piping needs to be replaced with new piping that can serve for another 40 years.

A detailed article about the Master Plan was published in the Hideabout newspaper in December, 2010, and you can view that article by clicking the link below. This article covers important information about upcoming major changes to our water and sewer piping.

RS&W Public Notification System – Emergency Contact Information
Beginning May 10, 2010, a new federal regulation will require that public water suppliers notify every customer within 24 hours in the event of a water system emergency, such as a water boil order. To comply with the new regulation, RS&W will employ an automated phone dialing system which is capable of placing thousands of calls in under an hour. For the system to be effective, it is imperative that we have up-to-date contact information for every household we serve.

Please go to our Home page now and click the "Swift911 Emergency Notification" icon now to update your emergency contact information.

Once the information has been entered into our database, we will perform a system wide test call to each number on file. Thank you for your cooperation.
